OPPD Retaining Walls Stabilized

The Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) coal plant in Nebraska City discovered two leaning retaining walls used to provide adjacent support for a train rail and the OPPD thaw house. Poor drainage and years of weathering caused wall displacement in some areas ranging from 12” to 24”.
