Making a Difference

On Saturday, July 10, the Thrasher Basement Systems and Foundation Supportworks team had an opportunity to give back to the community. Over 25 employees and members of their families took part in an effort to restore stability to a local homeowners foundation as well as install waterproofing along the perimeter of her basement. This effort, organized by Rebuilding Together (an organization determined to keep low-income elderly and low-income disabled homeowners warm, safe, dry and independent in their own homes) was one the Thrasher/FSI team will never forget.

Thrasher Judges Better Business Integrity Awards

Dan Thrasher, Director of Operations, recently served as a judge for the 2010 Better Business Bureau Integrity Awards per a request from the Better Business Bureau. Dan was honored to review nominations and applications for this year's award, as well as assist in choosing the winners. Thrasher Basement Systems is a two-time winner of the award, most recently in 2008 and also in 2000. Thrasher also received an Honorable Mention for the award in 2006 and was a finalist in 2007.

Nebraska and Iowa have experienced record-breaking rain totals in the month of June. Heavy rains have contributed to widespread flooding on a number of creeks, streams and rivers and numerous homes have reported water damage. In a normal June, Omaha receives 2.9 inches of rain... this year's official report was 10.5 inches. With this much rain, Nebraska and Iowa residents are looking to Thrasher Basement Systems for help.
