Crack on outside and in basement

We have a 2 car garage that has a block wall foundation. It is detached and built into the side of the hill on the back of our property. The block wall is leaning but shows no cracking. We are selling our house and the buyers had a contractor look at it and he deemed it unstable and that it would cost less to tear it down because it is unfix-able. Can you send someone out to determine if this is true or if there is a way to fix it and what it would cost?

Hi, We are renting our house out at this address and we have had water problems in our basement over the last two years. We had pulled the drywall down and pulled the carpet up and had a landscaper retar the outside foundaion of our house and regraded the outside dirt away from the house. We recently added a cap for our fireplace as we noticed this time the water seemed to be coming from the ash dump (Our home was built in the 1950s)So we need to fill the ash dump with light concrete and are looking at adding a sub pump or french drain. Once again we had to pull down the drywall and and now the carpet is shot. We are getting frustrated and want to make sure what we do this time will solve our issue with water. It has to! What would work best for us and what are the prices on each. Thank you so much for your time.

A little over a year ago, you came out to do an inspection. At the time, the problem we were having was not a basement issue, but a retaining wall issue. However, during the inspection, there were two small cracks in the walls that were told to "watch." Over that time, they both have expanded, and I think we do have a footing slipping.

Contacted Thrasher, who took time to hear my problem and provide me with multiple solutions. While over cost initially was overwhelming, the amount I would lose on resale with a water problem and all that comes with it would be significantly more. We chose to demolish our basement ourselves with the help of an electrician, which helped keep costs from rising. Overall, great service and an excellent investment in our home.
